Mr. Wayne Snow shares his patient experience with our Balance Disorder therapist:
“A short time back while undergoing treatment for dizziness issues that I was having at the time, it was determined that I also had an issue with my balance. My specialist, Dr. Grayson Rogers in Birmingham, suggested that I have specialized therapy to correct and improve this balance problem. He noted that there were limited facilities in Alabama available to conduct this type of therapy, one that came highly recommended by him was the Balance Center at Tyler Center in my hometown of Anniston.
With Dr. Rogers being a specialist in his field, someone I knew could trust, I did not hesitate in taking his advice. Afterall, when you have a specialist in Birmingham recommend someone, you have to feel confident with his advice. I was amazed to hear there was a facility right here in Anniston that could treat my problem. I had his office set me up with the Balance Center here at the Tyler Center to begin this therapy.
I began my therapy on June 6 and have continued twice weekly sessions with Angie Fuhrman and Brittney Shiflett. With their tremendous help and the equipment made available to me my balance has improved significantly. This has led to much needed confidence in my walking, climbing stairs and other day to day activities. I could not have asked for any better or more professional help than I received from these two ladies. During my sessions I noticed many other people undergoing various types of therapy and I could not help but notice how the therapist and staff treated each patient with kindness, patience, professionalism and were attentive to all their needs.
The Physical Therapy and Balance Center of Tyler Center are a true asset to RMC and the city of Anniston. I am thankful that the reputation of the Balance Center extended all the way to Birmingham. I would recommend both departments to anyone in need of the services they provide.”
