Services in Transition
To date, services in the process of transition from Stringfellow to main campus include:
-Detox Unit has fully transitioned to Baptist Health Calhoun Hospital Campus
-Intensive Care Unit has fully transitioned to Baptist Health Calhoun Hospital Campus.
-Ambulatory Care has transitioned iron infusions and phlebotomy from Baptist Health Calhoun Hospital to Stringfellow, and all other Ambulatory Care to transition from Stringfellow to Baptist Health Calhoun Hospital
-Outpatient Imaging, Laboratory and NCP services transitioned on July 12, 2024
-Inpatient Services at Stringfellow paused new admissions on July 12, 2024
-Emergency Services transitioned to Baptist Health Calhoun Hospital on July 19, 2024
Emergency Services Update
As previously shared, the transition included the transition of the Emergency Department at Stringfellow to an urgent care facility while simultaneously enhancing the Emergency Department at Baptist Health Calhoun Hospital. Members of the public needing emergency services after July 19, 2024 should seek care at Baptist Health Calhoun Hospital.
Services Remaining at Stringfellow:
Looking ahead, outpatient surgical services and Gastroenterology Services will remain at the Stringfellow campus. All inpatient services will be paused as of July 19, 2024. Additionally, we have executed a Letter of Intent with an established Urgent Care provider to establish an Urgent Care center in the current Stringfellow Campus emergency department.
Medical Records Notice:
Former patients of the Stringfellow Campus can obtain copies of their hospital medical and/or imaging records (inclusive of radiology exams and digital files) from The Health Care Authority of the City of Anniston at Northeast Alabama Baptist Health Calhoun Hospital by the following:
-Requesting records in person at Baptist Health Calhoun Hospital Anniston, located at 400 East Tenth Street, Anniston, Alabama 36207, by going to the first floor of the main hospital building.
-Contacting the Release of Information Office at 256-235-5763.
-Requesting electronic records through HealthMark-Group.com, Stringfellow’s Release of Information Provider.
If a patient has signed up for FollowMyHealth Portal, it will still be available.
