Christopher D. Carr, Jr.- is a native of Anniston, AL.Christopher attended White Plains Elementary and Middle where he played a variety of sports. He continued his love for sports and attended The Donoho High School, where he graduated and received a baseball scholarship to attend Kentucky Wesleyan College. In his junior year, he transferred to Jacksonville State University where he was accepted into their first Respiratory Therapy Program. During the program, he was nominated as the class president and selected for an opportunity to work as a student respiratory therapist at Regional Medical Center. After graduating in the top ten of his class, he pursued his career by taking two board certification exams and was successful in passing both on his first attempt. Currently, Christopher works for UAB Critical Care Transport as needed and at RMC Health Systems as the new Director of Respiratory Services, NCP, & Sleep Center. Christopher will be completing a master’s degree in August 2024 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Christopher serves in various capacities in his local community and at his home church, Anniston Full Gospel Holy Temple. Christopher was appointed to be a youth leader in 2017. He mentors the youth by providing guidance with their education, scholarship, life skills, and ministry. In 2020 he was elected to be the Youth Minister at his local church. His focus remains on community service, outreach programs, youth at risk, community development, and ministering to all young people.
Christopher is a member of the American Association of Respiratory Care, Alabama Society of Respiratory Care, and Georgia Society of Respiratory Care. Currently, Christopher serves as the East Central District Rep for the Alabama Society of Respiratory Care. He also serves as an Advisory Board Member for Respiratory Therapy Programs at Georgia Northwestern technical College and Jacksonville State University.
