Garden Jubilee

On Saturday, May 31st, the RMC Foundation will host the Annual Garden Jubilee.  It will be held at The Anniston Country Club with a “Paint the Town Blue” theme. We invite everyone to join us in your favorite blue cocktail attire as we celebrate a decade of the Martha Vandervoort Scholarship.  Each year we honor the life of a special person, raise money for the RMC Healthcare System and bring our community together for an evening of camaraderie and hope for future generations.

This will be our 10th year to introduce our Martha Vandervoort Memorial scholar to the community.  They will be the “Star” of the evening celebration.  Each year we honor the life and legacy of a long time Anniston resident and philanthropist, Martha Vandervoort, with an annual scholarship.  The Martha Vandervoort Memorial Scholarship awards an annual $3000 scholarship to a graduating senior from Calhoun County.  This student has a true servant’s heart and serves as a leader in their community.  To date, we have been able to award nine worthy Scholars and look forward to continuing to support future leaders in our community.

Last year’s recipient is Cohen Picton, a graduate from Oxford High School who is an inspiring example of dedication and excellence. Along with working in the RMC Emergency Room, he attends Jacksonville State University to pursue a career in nursing. His commitment to spreading joy and contributing to the well-being of his community is a testament to his character and values. Cohen is a fine example of someone deserving of the Martha Vandervoort Memorial Scholarship.
