About Us

Our Mission: Providing state of the art healthcare with integrity, to the people we serve.

At Regional Medical Center (RMC), we are proud to be the premier regional health care provider for a five-county service area in northeast Alabama. As a community-based, not-for-profit health system, we are committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to every patient we serve.

With approximately 2,000 employees representing a full range of specialties, RMC provides care with integrity, skill, and compassion across its primary hospital campus, outpatient facilities, urgent care centers, and specialty clinics.

Each year, RMC cares for 11,500 inpatients, 64,000 outpatients, nearly 1,700 newborn deliveries, and 44,000 emergency room visits. We are honored to serve not just the city of Anniston, but also the residents of Oxford, Jacksonville, the broader Calhoun County area, and beyond.

RMC is proud to be recognized for clinical excellence and innovation across several key areas. Our Cancer Program is accredited by the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer and serves as an affiliate in the UAB Cancer Care Network, offering patients access to advanced oncology care close to home. Our Orthopedics program has earned the Blue Distinction Center+ designation for Knee and Hip Replacement® from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama, reflecting both quality and cost-efficiency. In maternity care, RMC was the first hospital in Alabama to be named a Baby-Friendly birthing facility, demonstrating our commitment to best practices in mother and infant care.

With a growing network of primary care and specialty clinics in Jacksonville, Oxford, Roanoke, Anniston, and other surrounding communities, we remain committed to making healthcare more convenient, accessible, and personal.

Our Commitment to Health Equity

RMC is committed to identifying and reducing health care disparities based on race, ethnicity, language, sexual orientation, gender identity, and ability status. We collect self-reported demographic data to guide improvements in equitable care, outreach, and services.
