RMC support groups are offered at no cost. All groups are facilitated by a member of the RMC Staff.
Meetings are held in the Tyler Center, 731 Leighton Avenue, Anniston.
All groups will meet on the first floor in the group room, unless otherwise noted.

Alzheimer’s For families dealing with Alzheimer’s disease. Meets every Tuesday at 5:00 PM on the 3rd floor of the Physician Center, Suite 301. Facilitator is Kathleen Miller, a certified Dementia Trainer. You may reach her at 256-235-5578.
Touch (Today Our Understanding of Cancer is Hope) A support group for cancer patients and their families. Meets the 3rd Tuesday each month at 12:00 noon in the Cancer Resource Center (Physician Center 4th floor). Lunch is provided. Mental Illness For patients with bi-polar, depression, and other disorders, and those interested in providing support. Meets every Tuesday at 2:00 PM in the Tyler Center.

Stroke For stroke patients in treatment or recovery and their caregivers. Meets the 4th Tuesday of each month at 1:00 PM in the Tyler Center.
Steel Magnolias Supporting Individuals Undergoing Cancer Treatment
For breast cancer patients in treatment or recovery and their significant others, the group meets the 4th Tuesday (except in December) of each month at 5 p.m. in the 1st floor classroom of the Tyler Center. The group provides benevolent resources, comfort items, cosmetic bags and snacks for patients, as well as dining vouchers to family members. In addition, participates receive regular newsletter and web site information to educate, inspire and motivate.

Breast Cancer Awareness Program - Designed for 7th-12th grade girls, professional clinical staff teach girls how to do self breast exams, as well as provide Susan G. Komen For The Cure’s “We Are Taking Care of Our Life” information. Plans are underway to expand this program throughout Calhoun County.
Men of Steel meets the 4th Tuesday (except in December) of each month at 5 p.m. in the 1st floor classroom of the Tyler Center. Led by Jimmy Taylor, this group addresses the needs of breast cancer spouses, as well as men who have gender-specific cancers.

Neonatal Bereavement For parents whose newborn children have died. Meets for special gatherings four times each year.
