WHAT IS AN LTACH?

LTACH stands for Long Term Acute Care Hospital. LTACH is a specialty hospital designed for patients with acute or chronic conditions that require an extended hospital stay. Noland hospital located on the 4th floor of RMC Anniston focuses on these extended illnesses and provide care for patients who have the need for longer hospitalizations and require continued daily physician and nursing care.

WHAT IS THE AVERAGE LENGTH OF STAY AT NOLAND?

The clinical complexities of our patients result in a typical length of stay averaging 25 days. Weekly team meetings with your treatment team will help guide you through your stay and anticipate discharge needs you may have to assist you with a smooth discharge and transfer to your home or other level of care.

WHAT INSURANCE DOES NOLAND ACCEPT?

Noland hospitals are covered by Medicare, Blue Cross, United Healthcare, Cigna, and most other commercial providers.
HOW OFTEN DO THE PHYSICIANS SEE PATIENTS?
Our physicians make daily visits to all of our patients.

CAN A PATIENT’S PERSONAL PHYSICIAN SEE THEM WHILE AT NOLAND?

Yes. If your physician does not already come to Noland at RMC Anniston, we can get him or her privileges that will allow them to be your primary care physician while in our hospital.

WHAT TYPES OF PHYSICIANS COME TO YOUR HOSPITAL?

We have Internal Medicine physicians as well as many sub specialists. These include but are not limited to Pulmonary, Cardiology, Nephrology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Vascular Surgeons, and Infectious Disease.

ARE NOLAND HOSPITALS LICENSED?

Yes, all Noland Hospitals are licensed as acute care hospitals, are certified as Medicare providers, and are accredited by The Joint Commission.

HOW IS A REFERRAL MADE?

Referral for admission is made by a physician, discharge planner, case manager, or even a family member.

IS SOMEONE AVAILABLE TO TALK WITH ME PRIOR TO ADMISSION?

Yes. We encourage you to take a tour of our hospital prior to admission if possible. Every Noland Hospital has an onsite Clinical Liaison who is available to answer any questions you might have regarding your hospitalization.

HOW IS DISCHARGE PLANNING HANDLED?

At Noland at RMC Anniston, we have a comprehensive interdisciplinary team that will assist with all discharge planning needs.

DO YOU HAVE PRIVATE ROOMS?

Yes, all of our hospitals have private rooms.
