Reinvesting Time and Resources to Expand State-of-the-Art Health Care Services and Technologies in Our Community

RMC Medical Center Memorial Foundation

Founded In 1976 by Warren Sarrell, M.D., the RMC Medical Center Memorial Foundation was created to support RMC in pursuit of its vision of providing superior quality health care services for the community and residents of Northeast Alabama. Today, the RMC Foundation remains an active and essential support organization for RMC in fulfilling the need and desire for additional medical services and facilities.

As one of the region’s largest non-for-profit health systems, RMC reinvests hospital earnings back into our local communities through improved access to expanded health care services, state-of-the-art technologies and recruitment of top talent as the area’s largest employer. Through the generosity of our donors and the support of area businesses, the RMC Foundation is making a significant impact.

Provide Support for Local Patients

Cancer Patients in Our Community Need Your Support

Even in the best of economic times, health care treatment and related expenses can be costly. Many in our community are facing this challenge without a job, without insurance or without the resources to afford
their care.

Giving and Getting Involved

Your gift to the RMC Foundation can help in so many ways.  RMC is a not-for-profit regional healthcare provider. As a ‘not-for-profit’ this means that instead of distributing revenues to individual shareholders, we reinvest revenues into meaningful RMC programs and enhanced healthcare services for the benefit of our community. Patient revenues are not adequate to cover all the expenses of maintaining a high quality health care system. With philanthropy and generous donations of our foundation contributors, we can strive to achieve our vision of providing world- class health care to everyone in our community.

How can I help?

Making a cash gift is one of the easiest ways to give to RMC Foundation. Because cash gifts are tax deductible, we will give you a letter of acknowledgment of your gift that you can use for your tax records and 100% of your gift goes directly to the RMC Foundation project that you designate.

Giving Guide

Your charitable donations provide the cutting-edge tools and medical technology our physicians need to treat and heal more than 200,000 people every year. It is through the generosity of caring individuals and corporations that we are able to achieve our mission and vision. The RMC Foundation raises funds from individuals, corporations and foundations in order to support RMC’s efforts to deliver premier healthcare services to residents of northeast Alabama.

Corporate Gift or Sponsorship

Join the growing list of businesses that are helping people in our community get health care close to home through the generosity of corporate gifts, sponsorship and grants.

Corporate Fundraising

Be one of the businesses that help us raise more than $150,000 every year through corporate fundraising for projects like our cardiac and cancer care services.

Sponsoring events like our annual Giving Gala and RMC Golf Tournament are excellent ways for corporations to show commitment to their community while receiving recognition on-site, in publicity materials and in RMC Foundation publications.

Tribute or Memorial Gift

Show your admiration, respect or love for someone who has made a difference in your life with a tribute or memorial gift to RMC Foundation. Gifts of remembrance are a meaningful way to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, close friendships or simply to make a positive difference in our community. We will send a card to the person or someone close to them acknowledging your generosity on their behalf.
