Your insurance policy is a contract between you and your insurance company; you have final responsibility for payment of your hospital bill. As a courtesy, RMC will submit your bills to your insurance company. We also have several payment options available to assist you in paying your bill.
You may receive separate bills from physicians you did not see in person if you have certain tests or treatments in the hospital. These bills are for professional services rendered by those doctors in your treatment and in interpretation of test results while you are a patient — pathologists, radiologists, cardiologists, anesthesiologists and/or other specialists. If you have questions about these bills, please call the number printed on the statement you receive directly from them.
If you have questions regarding your hospital bill or need help interpreting financial policies and billing procedures, you may contact our Customer Service representative from 8 am to 4:30 pm at 256-235-5475, Monday through Friday.
All patient balances are due within 10 days of statement receipt, unless prior arrangements are made. For patient convenience, itemized bills will be provided upon request. You may call 256-235-5475 to request an itemized bill or discuss payment arrangements.
